Football Sticky-Backs
D.C. Thomson / The Wizard
4 sheets
All four of these rare sheets of stickers. You can find a checklist here - D.C. Thomson / The Wizard - Football Sticky-Backs (1927)
UPDATE (07-06-2015): James Cotton has very kindly sent an updated photo of the fourth sheet as the original had a bad fold in the bottom left-hand corner.
Great to see Messer of Reading featured, not seen that before.
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, Complete sheets are extremely rare, another one for you to search for.
DeleteIt's the same sheet as your previous picture, Alan, indeed all of the sheets you have photographed are the ones in my collection (not sure when you got the photographs), it's just that when I acquired the sheets I spent some time restoring them as best I could and removing a lot of the material that had been stuck to the reverse and which was causing issues like the bad fold. I suspect there are very few of these in tact.
ReplyDeleteYes, I should think a set of all four sheets to be almost unique. I had the cut out Cardiff City players in my collection for years without knowing exactly where they came from.
DeleteAlan, on the 4th sheet it's Jimmy Crapnell, not Grapnell...
ReplyDeleteThank you James.
DeleteAmazing thank you for collecting these unique items J Ramsay my grandfather...priceless gentleman
