For previous World Cup Digital collections, when a collector completed the album, Panini provided a PDF file that could be downloaded to your device and kept and it was free. This time around they want to charge $69.00 for the privilege. That's absolutely crazy.

I have created a PDF file of the whole album, including those parts I couldn't complete because I use a laptop rather than a mobile phone. It's free and all it took was a little time and effort. Here is what I did, step by step. One of them is a little tricky but the rest is mostly repetitive tasks.

1.  Open the app. and click on the album. The first double-page spread appears. Use the Zoom feature to make it as large as possible, showing as little of the background as possible.

2.  Open a graphics app. if you have one. I use Paintshop Pro. It has a screen capture feature.

3.  Click SHIFT+C, the app. minimises and you should see the first double page.

4.  Press Right button, the graphics app. appears with the screen capture visible.

5.  Use the Selection Tool to select the whole page and press ENTER. That leaves you with the complete double page, removing all the background.

6.  Save the file with a relevant file name and number, for example WC-Album-01.

7.  Repeat this procedure for all the other pages. There should be a total of 59 files when the process is complete.

8.  Find a free PDF creator app. on the internet, add all your files and you end up with a complete PDF file to keep, share or offer in exchange, possibly for other PDF files from previous tournaments. That's something you can't do with Panini's Keepsake album.
