D.C. Thomson / The Wizard - The All Star Banner

The All Star Banner
D.C. Thomson / The Wizard
1 poster

This free gift was included with issue no. 103 of The Wizard, dated 29 January, 1972. At 48" high, it was probably one of the largest gifts given away by the D.C. Thomson stable. The photo to the right looks a little strange in places, that's because it wasn't flat or fully opened when photographed.

THO-300/THO-14-4 Football Towns & Crests / Famous Ships ~ The Wizard
D.C. Thomson / Adventure / The Rover / The Skipper / The Wizard
32 cards

Bob Thomas has kindly sent in scans of many of these cards, not quite a complete illustrated checklist but because there are so many photographs I'll split them down to each of the four different comics they came free with. Finally, The Wizard, with six out of the eight shown. The missing cards are Nottingham / Luton / Methil / Camberwell (Mark Hughesdon has sent in a image of the full front and the football half of the back of the card) and Aldershot /
Larne / Alloa / New Brighton.
UPDATE (27-12-2016 17:16):  Mark Hughesdon has provided a scan of the missing back of the Titanic card.
UPDATE (27-10-2019 13:31):  Mark Hughesdon has provided scans of the missing card so this illustrated checklist is now complete.
