Panini - ZB9-81-2 Mexico 70 (03) - Checklist

1970

ZB9-81-2 Mexico 70
Panini
270 stickers/cards

These are all cards unless noted. A total of 27 stickers and 243 cards - the flag and logo each appear on one sticker, as do the Trophy/Map and the two Posters.
There were at least three different albums, Italian, British and International. The backing paper for the Italian stickers were printed in green and black, whilst the others were printed in black and red. I believe, though I'm not sure, that all the cards (not the stickers) available in Italy can be found with Bisvalida backs - these cards could be collected and exchanged for a range of items.
I am aware of at least two versions of the Italian album, with just a subtle difference on the covers. In the top left hand corner can be found Supplemento al No. 4 APRILE 1970 on one and Supplemento al No. 5 MAGGIO 1970 on the other.

  1. Hi Alan,
Can you tell me about the two 1930 poster variations. Are there two different stickers?

    1. Hi Peter,

Yes, there's one where the background is yellow, I've shown the common red one. But I'm not sure if that is available in a specific version of the collection.

  2. Hi Alan,I have a card from the history section of the collection. It's the Italia 1938 team group. It is ex-album but has a red/blue backing.I'm assuming it came with the album as a starter card.Do you have any info on this? Regards Dave.

    1. Yes, the Red/Blue back was cut out of the Italy album as starter cards. For more information, see:

  3. Hi there, Alan, I have the (ultra rare) Panini Mexico 70 sticker 'red-goalie-on-yellow-background' poster of Uruguay 1930 by Uruguayan artist Guillermo Laborde twice, one with back and one without back. To which email address can I send the pics?

  4. I have a complete English Album (Mexico 70) complete and of the time. It has seen better days and some of the stickers have come adrift, some have creases. I also have an European album version complete apart from 3-4 stickers (which must have fallen out). Again it has seen better days. I wish to sell these - but require some assistance. Should anyone be able to assist my email is tim.farris@btinternet.com

    1. The cards can range in value from £1 to £1,000's depending on the player and the quality. You can check eBay to see current auctions and check out sales on eBay to gauge value of your cards.

  6. Hi
Are the cards with the spelling mistake on the back worth more than the ones with the correct spelling?
    Kind regards
    Karl
