Elkes Biscuits - England Footballers

2004
England Footballers
Elkes Biscuits
12+18 wrappers

I don't know what these are, they might be special biscuit wrappers rather than cards. Elkes Biscuits is now Fox's Biscuits. I've tried contacting the company without any success.
UPDATE (16-04-2026 15:24):  Trevor Cotterell has been in touch with some additional information about this collection of wrappers. There are two different sizes but we don't have measurements at the moment, though I do have poor illustrations to show what they looked like. The smaller one seems to be a set of 12 wrappers and the larger one probably 18 wrappers.

Small (75mm x 40mm)
12 wrappers

David Beckham
Wayne Bridge
Nicky Butt
Sol Campbell
Ashley Cole
Joe Cole
Keiron Dyer
Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Michael Owen
Wayne Rooney
Matthew Upson

Large (110mm x 45mm)
18? wrappers

David Beckham
Wayne Bridge
Nicky Butt
Sol Campbell
Ashley Cole
Joe Cole
Keiron Dyer
Steven Gerrard
Emile Heskey
David James
Frank Lampard
Michael Owen
Wayne Rooney

    Hello Alan,
These are indeed biscuit wrappers which come in two different sizes.
Someone listed a set of 17 of these but unfortunately didn't show all the players.
It seems to be an odd number so here is who I know of:-
David Beckham, Wayne Bridge, Nicky Butt, Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Keiron Dyer, Steven Gerrard, Emile Heskey, David James, Frank Lampard, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Matthew Upson, Darius Vassell.
I am quite sure I have seen Gary Neville too.
    Regards,
    Trevor

    1. Hi Trevor,
Thanks for all the information about these wrappers. Your comment piqued my interest and decided to do some searching. I presume you've seen the couple of recent eBay auctions? If I'd know about them I would have tried to get them, just to be able to show some decent pictures. The small ones seem to be a set of 12 but, like you said, 17 seems to be an odd number for the larger ones. I've managed to extract a couple of images just to help illustrate this post, though the two player wrappers aren't the best quality.
      Thanks again for your help.
      Take care,
      Alan
