Paul Briers has come across one of the Ardath Photocards with a sheet of information attached to the back and folded over the front of the card. It's probably not that unusual but neither of us have come across one of these before. It may have been used during the initial launch of the cards.
I read somewhere that these were given out at actual games...

Hi Alan this is a great bit of history I recently inherited some of my great grandfathers football medals and came across this post while trying to find out a bit more information he is the last name on the list C Dent I have all the league and cup winners/runners up medals mentioned on the card I would love to hear any more information you have on this if any

DeleteThat''s fascinating. Unfortunately I don't have any additional information. I've just added a scan of the front of the card showing all the players. I presume you've got one of these already. If not good quality ones are easy to find on eBay.
I was wondering if you'd be interested in photographing all medals individually each on a white background and as large as possible and I can show them on this post. Let me know via the comments if that would be OK and I'll let you have my e-mail address.
