World Cup Team Managers Transfer Book
Findus
30 Transfers

I believe these transfers are almost identical to the Daily Sketch ones that most collectors would be familiar with even though they seem to quite rare these days. You can see them on Nigel's Webspace - http://cards.littleoak.com.au/196970_daily_sketch_world_cup_transfers/index.htm.html. If anyone had any further information, I'd be glad to hear from them.

J. Baines - Football Cards (01) - Baines's Prize Jersey Competition

1890s
Baines's Prize Jersey Competition
J. Baines
12 cards

Thousands of cards were issued by John Baines and his contemporaries, like W.N. Sharpe and J. Briggs, from the late 1880's to the early 1920's. They were the Panini and Topps of their day. Very few can be tied down to specific sets as the cards were so diverse in design. There are some from around 1887 that were printed for actual cup-ties, but very little is known about those early rugby competitions.
The cards shown here though, do make up a set. In total there are 12 cards, each with the same information on the back. I have included the back design plus 11 of the cards (2 footballers and 9 rugby players), which means there is one missing.

Birkenhead Park - A.E. Fenton
He appears in the Cheshire team photo of 1895
Castleford - G. Howell
Celtic - Doyle
Dan Doyle won 8 caps for Scotland between 1892 and 1898
Hunslet - A.H.R. Albert (Goldthorpe)
He made his debut in October 1888 and retired in 1910.
Queens Park - Sillars
Probably a mis-spelling, William Sellar played for Queens Park in the 1895 F.A. Cup Final v Blackburn Rovers.
Runcorn - ?
Stanningley - ?
Tyledsley - John Berry
Played for Tyldesley before and after 1895, winning three caps in 1891.
Ulverston - J.R. Robinson
Wigan - Wm. Halliwell
Joined Wigan rugby club some time prior to 1895.

Panini America Studies Staggering Prices of 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Prizm’s Best Cards
May 13, 2014
by Tracy Hackler

There’s anecdotal evidence all around us that speaks eloquent volumes about the surging phenomenon that is Panini America’s 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm trading card set. After just six days on the U.S. market, the product already ranks as perhaps the most successful release of the year. But when you get past all the feel-good social media buzz and start exploring cold, hard sales numbers, you realize something quite extraordinary: 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm is not as hot as we think it is. It’s hotter. Way, way hotter.
In the last few days, four key autographed cards from the set have sold on eBay for $1,000 or more. Those are landmark cards, mind you, that began as random inserts inside $5 packs. Four more autographed cards from the product have sold for $720 or more. In fact, after spending some quality time this morning on eBay and Terapeak.com researching seemingly every last realized sale price so far — and we were absolutely blown away by what we learned.
In all, we tracked 26 cards that have sold for $500 or more since May 6. Perhaps none, however, are more impressive than the Cristiano Ronaldo/Pepe dual-autograph #’d 1/10 that closed two days ago for a staggering $1,450. Other four-digit dynamos include a Roberto Baggio Prizm autograph (#’d 1/25) that sold for $1,199.99, a Lionel Messi Prizm autograph (#’d 6/25) that went off at $1,012.29 and a Clint Dempsey/Tim Howard dual autograph (#’d 4/10) that sold for a nice, even $1,000.
Other impressive first-week sales include a Ronaldo autograph that closed for $835, a Neymar Prizm autograph (#’d 1/25) that changed hands for $745, a Messi autograph that sold for $740.66 and a Pele autograph that closed for $720 after a whopping 69 bids.
Heck, even the non-autographed stunners from 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm are commanding big bucks. A Neymar World Cup Stars Gold Power Prizm parallel (#’d 5/5) sold for $500.
In the gallery that follows, we offer a visual price check on 24 cards from the set that have sold for $500 or more. Enjoy, and be sure to get your own box of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm now at iCollectPanini.com.

CHI-380 / CGO-3 Footballers (Double picture) Series 1
CHI-380 / CGO-3 Footballers (Double picture) Series 2
Chix Confectionery Co. Ltd.
24 cards each

There are four different versions of these cards in circulation. The blank backed ones are probably proof copies. The cartoon back version is the common one and I find the cartoon with pink shading version is the most difficult to find. Mainly because I'm still looking for the Danny Malloy card with the pink shading. It is possible to find these cut into two, but they are totally worthless.

Melchester Rovers Sticker Collection
Storky Knight's Roy of the Rovers
300+

For young football fans growing up in the 60's, 70's or 80's Roy of the Rovers was a familiar figure. Now it's possible to collect an online collection of stickers featuring Roy Race and other members of Melchester Rovers. They are designed similar to Topps and Panini cards and stickers and there are over 300 to collect, which you can do by right-clicking on each one and saving it to you computer. Each time you refresh the screen you get another random selection of six to collect. Hours of fun and it doesn't cost you a penny! The stickers above show the 1986/87 League Cup winning side.
