Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI see that you have recorded card 14 in all three sets as William Yenson. I have numerous photographs of William Yenson (as he later played for Croydon Common) and, based upon these, I am certain that the card was not based on him. Just a personal view.
Thanks for your comment. As I stated on a previous post I only included him as the player was identified as Yenson on a QPR messageboard, but I wasn't convinced - http://cartophilic-info-exch.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/ogdens-cigarettes-football-club-colours_7034.html. No Tash, hair not right, but I suppose the pose is very similar.
