Bancroft Books - Bancroft Tiddlers

1965-1969
Bancroft Tiddlers
Bancroft Books
48 booklets

These aren't cartophilic by any stretch of the imagination. Little booklets, sold in the 1960's but Americans can't get enough of them. The pages featuring golfers, boxers and baseball are quickly removed from each volume, placed in card holders, graded and sold for big bucks across the pond. The rest of the pages are just discarded. I thought I'd include information here. There are two booklets featuring sports stars - Giants of Sport (No. 6) and Giants of Sport II (No. 22) Thanks to Steve F. for photos of the covers and jeromebelasco for a scan of the index of Giants of Sport II.
UPDATE (30-05-2019 11:26):  All the missing names have been added to the checklist for the first booklet thanks to an anonymous comment.
UPDATE (20-05-2026 21:41):  A collector asked if I had a checklist for he Pirates tiddler. I didn't but he provided the list and I am happy to add it to the checklist. Any collectors wishing to provide lists for any of the other tiddlers please feel free to contact me via the comments below.

    1. If you send the list as a comment, I'll deal with it a lot quicker than if you e-mail me. I amin poor health and don't open my e-mails very often, but I do try and keep on top of the comments I receive.

    1. Usually, it's got to be football-related, but I don't mind beefing out some multi-themed checklists like this one, if the opportunity arises.
