It's been a while but another card has turned up, a team photo of 1955 Scottish Cup winners Clyde. I also thought I'd take the opportunity to shows card no. 12, which is actually double postcard size, but folded in half. This one is titled Super Sports Card rather than Super Sports Postcard. Still looking for information on two of the cards...

The Glasgow Evening Citzen and the Glasgow Evening Times regularly gave away inserts with their newspapers through most of the 1960s. I've shown examples of the Starpix series issued by the Evening Citizen and these are some of the Wall-Pics issued by the Evening Times. There seem to be a number of different designs which is indicative of the long period during which they were issued. The quality of the illustrations is not good but they are very rare.

I originally had these cards listed in two separate posts. Unusual cards issued in Scotland, probably in the late 1950's or early 1960's. There's nothing on them to identify who produced them. The cards have a large plain border, with the players names printed in either upper case or title case. Prior to finding the above photos most of them seem to be Glasgow Rangers players. The photo size on the cards varies, the typeface varies...

Only one postcard known to exist, and this is a poor photocopy. James Galt was a newsagent and tobacconist and during the 1911/12 season produced a set of postcards of the Glasgow Rangers players. How many different postcard were produced is anyone's guess.

A set of 12 postcards issued by the Scottish Daily Express in 1956. Still four postcards are unrecorded. The front of card no. 11 is shown, along with the back of card no. 12.

The Scottish Daily Express issued a lot of postcards in the mid-1950s but this collection includes a card number and the title "Scottish Daily Express Super Sports Postcards' along the top.
