VM-spelare 1958
Alifabolaget
Sweden
36 cards

This card was listed in the Heritage Auctions Fall Sports Card Catalogue in November, 2018 and sold for $57,000.
Alifabolaget is the company name and the series title is 'VM-spelare 1958' (World Cup Players 1958).
The auction description:
1958 Alifabolaget Pele #635 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Five, None Higher. The sport of soccer enjoys unrivaled supremacy in the world beyond our shores, veering close to religion in the nation of Brazil. Edson Arantes do Nascimento was just seventeen years old when he scored twice in the 1958 World Cup Final to defeat Sweden on their home field in Stockholm, even an opponent said, "... I felt like applauding." That youngster is known world-wide simply as "Pele."
Graded PSA Mint 9. One of a handful of known survivors at the Mint level with none rated higher. Only a small number of these fragile trading cards are known to exist today with the entire PSA population standing at thirty-three. This beauty ranks among the finest of them all! As the collectibles marketplace continues its own global expansion, there's every reason to believe that soccer cards will ride the crest of that wave. Certainly Pele will continue to occupy his position at the top of that hierarchy as long as the game is played.
Over the next few days I hope to include checklists for the various series of cards issued by Alfa from the late 1940's throught to the late 1950's, starting with the cards issued at the time of the 1958 World Cup tournament.
