Topps Vault recently added this to their eBay auctions, the description reads: 1985 Topps UK Soccer Original Wrapper Proof. Direct from Topps’ legendary Vault, this is an actual color correction wrapper proof used during the production of the 1985 Topps British card set. Measures approximately 8" x 8" and features proof markings. The lot does show some slight wear as it was a work-in-progress production item. All Topps Vault items are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
There was no 1985 Topps Footballers card set.
UPDATE (17-03-2019 12:32): Greg Lansdowne has been in touch to let me know that Topps' records are incorrect. This prototype is actually from the 1975-76 collection.
