Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

178+ cards
The usual set of Mexico 86 consists of 100 cards but Marc Charnley has found some cards that go beyond the 100 card limit and others that don't match with the regular checklist. He thinks they come from Israel, can anyone provide further information? I don't recognise the players on the two high-numbered cards but I think they are probably Bulgarian, half an hour trawling the internet didn't bring any rewards. The checklist for the 100 card set can be found here - Monty Gum - ZJ9-46-3-18 Mexico '86.
UPDATE (21-06-2018 09:23) Nik Yeomans has been investigating the identities of the two players on cards 158 and 178 and he's been able to name both of them after some intensive research.

178 looks like a Hungarian away kit, Lajos Détári possibly?
ReplyDeleteactually probably Jozsef Kiprich
DeleteFurther to that card 158 is almost certainly a Russia (CCCP) shirt.
