Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

Panini - USA 94 (05) - Germany version - 328 stickers
1994
USA 94
Panini
Germany
328 stickers + 16 extra stickers
The German stickers have brown backs, though to me, there doesn't seem to be much difference -between the red and brown backs. The album cover is completely different, I thought it showed a scene from the 1990 World Cup semi-final between Germany and England as Andreas Brehme clashes with David Platt, but I've been informed that it's more likely the U.S. Cup game from 1993, and it's Thomas Helmer, not Andreas Brehme. Like the Dutch version the same countries are missing from this collection - USA, Russia, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Mexico and the Netherlands. The centre pages include spaces for an extra 16 stickers celebrating the Germany team that won the World Cup in 1990. These extra stickers are similar to the ones that appeared in the 'World Cup Story' album.

NB: Not the Italia 90 semi-final on the cover, as Germany played in green and England in white on that occasion. There were friendlies in 1991 and 1993, Platt played in both, so maybe one of those.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's probably the U.S. Cup game from 1993, which makes it Thomas Helmer not Andreas Brehme.
DeleteThank you,
Alan

Hi Edu,
DeleteI believe the sticker packet is genuine.
I have found an error on the letter stickers where the back shows the letter/text in brown, but the sticker itself is actually of Italia 90. Has anyone else seen this error? I can send photos if necessary.
ReplyDeleteThat's really unusual! I'd like to see photos please.
