Hampton Roads Mariners played in the First Division of the USL (United Soccer League). They were founded as Hampton Roads Hurricanes in 1994. A year later they became Hampton Roads Mariners and changed their name again to Virginia Beach Mariners in 2003 before going out of business before the 2007 season.
