M.M. Frame / Sport Photos, Glasgow - FRA-060/ZB9-47 Smashers

1948
FRA-060/ZB9-47 "Smashers"
M.M. Frame / Sport Photos, Glasgow
Scotland
96 card

These cards were stapled into little booklets, 32 cards in each. I believe it is possible to find all the cards with each of the three different back designs, as shown above. Only the players surnames appear on the fronts of the cards. Some players are missing details about their clubs, these are rare cards that are difficult to track down.
UPDATE (22-06-2015):  Robert Muat has been in touch with some amendments and alterations. All the changes have been noted to make them easy to find.
UPDATE (28-06-2022):  Date amended from 1950 to 1948, see comment below from Davy McB.

Taddy & Co. - Prominent Footballers (1908) (2)

1908
Prominent Footballers
Taddy & Co.
390 cards

Peter has sent further information on the second Taddy set:

The second (1908) is difficult to count mainly because you have to see both sides of the card. Some cards are identical on their front with the same layout. You just can't believe it if you don't see it. Taking your and mine list together it seems the second series consists of 390 cards. I think the  Iremonger (Norwich City) card is a mistake but definitively there is a Robert Muir card in the Norwich City set. I've found a Jimmy Iremonger card (in a cricket kit) among County Cricketers series with Nottinghamshire. I've also found an Enoch West (of Forest) card in a 1908 series. There is also a Harry Stringfellow card in the Preston North End set. There is also probably, a footnote version of Billy Yenson (Queens Park Rangers) and Billy Wilkinson of Sheffield United as well as Frank Jefferis of Southampton and Billy Tout of Swindon Town. Altogether that makes 390.

Owners, Jockeys, Footballers, Cricketers - Series 2
Cohen, Weenen & Co.
52 cards (9 Footballers)

I will be uploading the Series 3 checklist soon. In fact, by the end of this month I should have included illustrations and checklists for all the football sets issued by cigarette/tobacco companies in the U.K., including all the odd quirky sets that just include one football card, no matter how obscure. I have also included the C.B. Fry card here, because of his links to Southampton.
UPDATE (18-02-2024 15:06):  Thanks to a comment below, it seems that Lewis (Leicester Fosse) is actually Archie Ling who was the Leicester Fosse goalkeeper for three season between 1902-03 and 1904-05. He later went on the play for Swindon Town and Brentford as well as cricket for Cambridgeshire.

J. Ashcroft (Woolwich Arsenal)

Clawley (Southampton)
Cooch (Northampton Town)
Eggett (Tottenham Hotspur)
J.S. Fryer (Fulham)
Howes (Queens Park Rangers)
Lewis (Leicester Fosse)   -   probably Archie Ling
, Leciester Fosse goalkeeper 1902-05
J. Robinson (Millwall Athletic)
Whittaker (Reading)
C.B. Fry (as cricketer) (Southampton)
