Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

11 - 20 cards per series
The number of cards for some of the series seems to vary. 20 cards in the F.C. Barcelona collection and only 11 in most of the others. Some of the checklists seem complete but some teams have more than 1 player for certain numbers.

UPDATE (21-06-2020 17:29): Year of issue amended from 1928 to 1922 at the suggestion of Brizzle (see Comments). It was the year when Barcelona first played Rapid Vienna and Mr. Hans Gamper was President, his fourth spell lasted from 1921 to 1923.

ReplyDeleteHi Rebote,
DeleteThank you for your help, I'll update the list now.
Kind regards,
Alan
Are you sure these are from 1928? Ricardo Zamora left Barcelona in 1922, so I suspect that Series A is from 1922, when Hans Gamper was also the Club President, and they also won the cup and the league.
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteHi Brizzle,
I usually go by datas on various Spanish auctions but I think you might be right about 1922. It was in that year that Barcelona first played Rapid Vienna.
Alan
