These cut-outs probably come from a newspaper in the Manchester area, possibly the Manchester Evening News. Manchester City played Sheffield Wednesday at Maine Road on Saturday, 12 October, 1946. The four Sportographs listed below are all Manchester City players. I'd be amazed if there weren't similar items featuring Manchester United players.
