An eagle-eyed collector has spotted a SS Lazio card that can be found with either the UEFA Europa League trophy in the top left-hand corner or the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy. The background also differs between both versions. SS Lazio qualified for the League phase of the UEFA Europa League and will play FC Porto, AFC Ajax, Real Sociedad de FĂștbol, Sporting Clube de Braga, PFC Ludogorets 1945, FC Dynamo Kyiv, OGC Nice and FC Twente Enschede. Doing a little bit of research it seems that all nine base cards and the two Blue Crystal cards can be found in both versions. I haven't been able to track down all the different versions yet but I've included those that I have found so far. Other versions will be added as and when they become available. UPDATE (31-08-2024 14:41): A second version of the Ciro Immobile card added and the Blue Crystal Club Badge card.
UPDATE (31-08-2024 19:29): UEFA Europa League versions of the Adam Marusic and Manuel Lazzari cards added.
UPDATE (02-09-2024 12:53): UEFA Europa Conference League version of the Blue Crystal Ciro Immobile card added.
UPDATE (05-09-2024 16:57): The last two base cards added. Still checking to see if the Chrome Shield and Limited Edition cards also have two versions.
Thanks so much for sharing this article. We observed this too and we were wondering why is this the case, and which one is actually the correct one. Do we need to collect both versions or focus more on the Europa League since that is where they have qualified. Curious to get your view on this.
ReplyDeleteHi, Yes, a strange error to make. I consider the Europa League version to be the correct one, as you say, that's the tournament they have qualified for. I notice some cards don't include a trophy logo in the top left corner, I wonder if they update any of these cards. Something to watch out for when the Update an Extra collections arrive.
