Are you sure the series is from 1986? Pictures above are 100% identical with Euro 88 stickers.
ReplyDeleteThe year 1986 can be seen at the bottom of the back of the cards where the All Sport logo is printed.
DeleteIt's also worth pointing out that the only teams represented in this set are the eight teams at Euro 88 and that there are several players here who had not made their international debut's until 1987 (eg Tony Adams) or 1988 (eg Paolo Maldini). From the comment below it sounds like these are the 1988 version and they left the rear unchanged with original 1986 copyright.
DeleteThere are existing at least 2 different series from All Sports: One with pink frame (1988) and one with the yellow box (1986).
ReplyDeleteFor example the Lothar Matthäus sticker
1986 - number 24
1988 - number 72
Hi, I've started another checklist here:
DeleteAll Sport (Cyprus) - The Stars of Football (02) - Numbers 101-200:
https://cartophilic-info-exch.blogspot.com/2018/12/all-sport-cyprus-stars-of-football-02.html
By the way: the collection of 1986 is called "Mondial Mexico 1986" by All Sport.
DeleteThe stars of football is definitly from 1988. I think the brand was build in 1986.
Hi Nils,
DeleteThanks for your comment, I meant to change the year to 1988 a while ago but forgot.
Cheers,
Alan
