I though this looked really nice. There aren't any Trading Card Game scores/ratings on these cards so they look really neat when framed.

Manchester Evening News - Manchester City & Manchester United Footballers (Circular 1976-77) (02)

1976-77
Manchester City and Manchester United Footballers
Manchester Evening News
22 stickers

The circular stickers are 2½" in diameter. I originally had these dated as 1978-79 as it was around that time that they were recorded in the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain journal. I have since discovered that they were issued from August 1976. The first token appeared in the Manchester Evening News on Friday, 20 August, 1976 and each Friday for a further seven weeks. The tokens could then be redeemed on the Saturdays. Seven of the eight sheets are shown here, the first two sheets are listed in the order they were issued and the last sheet was the eigth and final one in the series. So that means that the sheets listed from 3rd to 7th are numbered for reference purposes only as I am not sure in which order they were issued.
UPDATE (19-09-2019 13:46):  Graham Bruton has provided a photo of the missing Manchester United player - Stuart Pearson.

The original set of postcards were created by Weenenk & Snel in the Netherlands as a set of 121 postcards, covering all aspects of the 1928 Olympic Games.
