The circular stickers are 2½" in diameter. I originally had these dated as 1978-79 as it was around that time that they were recorded in the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain journal. I have since discovered that they were issued from August 1976. The first token appeared in the Manchester Evening News on Friday, 20 August, 1976 and each Friday for a further seven weeks. The tokens could then be redeemed on the Saturdays. Seven of the eight sheets are shown here, the first two sheets are listed in the order they were issued and the last sheet was the eigth and final one in the series. So that means that the sheets listed from 3rd to 7th are numbered for reference purposes only as I am not sure in which order they were issued.
