I notice that you have just uploaded a different type of Sportraits which features a photographic head and cartoon body. Well, here are two that I have featuring Huddersfield Town players Peter Doherty and Bob Hesford in yet another style! This time we have the photographic head, a brief bio and then a cartoon.
I wonder just how many different series there were of these?

Another variation on the Sportraits newspaper cut-outs. I presume these also come from the Daily Mail. These are numbered and although the body is drawn the head is a photograph, a short biography is followed by a facsimile autograph. No. 21 is the highest number I've seen. I don't know if it is significant or just a coincidence that the only ones I know of so far come from the two Manchester clubs.

Unsure of dates, but I have these as about 1939-1945/6.
No 20 Willie Watson (error) and the correction.

I have had this checklist for as long as I’ve had the previous Daily Dispatch checklist. This one includes a couple of issue dates. You’ll also see that some make up a sub-set of double photos featuring players from the 1946 F.A. Cup Final.
UPDATE (21-09-2016 16:51):  I've had an e-mail from Roger Pashby and he has successfully identified the player whose photo was used incorrectly on the original number 20. It's Edwin Watson.

Another collection of newspaper cut-outs issued just after the Second World War. There were many different series, but they were all distinctive. This collection being unnumbered, two different Sportraits are shown above. It has always been my intention to go to the Newspaper Library at Colindale (it's now moved from there) to look for these in the actual newspapers. Do you know of any others?
