Jim, from Facebook page The Unofficial Liverpool Football Club Museum, has sent a scan of this Lovells card. Although it's included in the original partial checklist that I published some time ago, I make no excuses for showing it here. This set of cards is very, very rare and I will always take the opportunity to show cards from this series whenever they cross my patch.

Trevor Cotterell has informed me of the number of the card of one of the players listed at the bottom of the original post for this series, where the card was known to exist but the number was unknown. I haven't reproduced the whole list here. I'll do that when we get a few more cards listed.

These cards were issued by Lovell's (a sweet manufacturer) around 1908. The cards are very rare and command a high price whenever they appear at auction.

The complete set comprises of 36 cards.

Another set that I've been trying to compile a checklist for. If anyone can help with any information I'd be glad to hear from you.
