Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company and the exclusive trading card and sticker partner of the FIFA World Cup, is inviting fans and collectors in the New York City area to take part in an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title Attempt for the Largest Sports Sticker Exchange in 8 Hours (multi-venue) on Sunday, July 12, from 11AM-7PM EST. The attempt will take place simultaneously across four locations in the United States and Mexico, including Rockefeller Center’s South Plaza in New York City, American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. And two cities in Mexico: Mexico City and Guadalajara.
Attendees must first register and receive a wristband confirming their participation. Once checked in, they can swap stickers and take part in activities throughout the venue. Those activities include swapping with soccer legends, an interactive soccer kick experience and a digital photo booth where fans can create their own stickers or trading cards.
U.S. Women’s National Team legend Kristine Lilly will be at the American Dream event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The largest sports sticker exchange in eight hours is 1,447, and was achieved by iFood Brasil and Panini Brasil LTDA (both Brazil) in São Paulo, Brazil, on 12 October 2022. The record took place at an event open to the public at the Arena iFood Fest, which was a gastronomic event with a dedicated area for attendees to exchange World Cup stickers.
