These postcards have been photographed in situ, an old slotted postcard album. It is assumed that the postcard with all the details of the game against Marks on 10 March, 1909 relates to the team photo shown here.

Ex-Cardiff City centre forward Bobby Brown went to Sir Walter St. John's School and played for the school's football team (Sinjuns). In 1960 he scored 4 goals in three matches at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, including 2 goals against Brazil, though the team were eliminated after finishing third in their group. These postcards though, are a little before his time.
