The Official History Of Pompey Cards & Stickers
Ed Emptage
1 book
Pompey's history of cards and stickers has been curated into a book which is available to buy now.
It is priced at £15, with all proceeds going towards a replica Division Three South trophy, which was won in 1924.
This legacy project coincides with the start of the club's 125th anniversary season, with celebrations beginning in April.
The edition has been written by fan and collector Ed Emptage and is published by the Pompey History Society, in partnership with Bishops Printers.
The 204-page volume is a treasure trove of nostalgia for fans of all ages, covering the development of the genre from cigarette cards to more recent innovations by Panini and Topps.
Pompey History Society chair Colin Farmery said: "Telling the story of the club in accessible ways is one of the objectives of the society.
"Having the chance to make this delightful book available to fans was one we simply couldn’t pass up."
Limited edition copies signed by Alan Knight are now available to purchase from the memorabilia store. Copies can be ordered from the Pompey Shop.
