Søren Juel has provided photos of three stickers from this collection with different backs and two of them have different emblems to the usual stickers we see. The stickers on the left are the ones in question, with the more familiar stickers shown to the right. Does anyone recognise these?

ReplyDeleteI’ve recently obtained the two Leeds United stickers. I’m intrigued by the alternative version which you show on the left, which has the numberless reverse. This badge, the stylised Peacock wasn’t used by Leeds until around 1980, and certainly not as early as the 1975 collection it is being tagged to here. Is it possible it is part of a different collection, or was the 1975 collection reprinted later?
Would love to know your thoughts.

DeleteI'm glad you like my blog. I think it is highly likely the collection or part of it was reprinted with new badge designs. Panini issued a number of multi-subject stickers, mainly in Italy, in the late 1970's and 1980's but trying to find information about them is very difficult. Some collections, perhaps all of them, didn't come with an album to collect them it.
