Appello delle Nazioni Unite per l'Infanzia - Commissione Italiana
Ente Nazionale Risi
Italy
12 cards
UNICEF was created in 1946 and originally used the United Nations logo, as seen on the stickers. The organisation didn't get it's own logo until 1953. These cards were created prior to the World Cup in 1950, I know of 12 cards which may or may not be a complete set. The cards are sometimes advertised as being issued by Mangiate Riso, but these words on the backs of the cards translate as Eat Rice. The actually issuer is Ente Nazionale Risi, which translates as National Rice Authority and they are still based in Milano. The set includes Carlo Parola, immortalised on Panini Stickers and albums for almost 60 years.
