I don't know why I didn't add this information when I had the original comment from Thoma. I have used part of his original image to illustrate this checklist.
The numbered set of 24 cards is actually the second series. A first series with many more cards and including some players from the second set, though with different images was released earlier. These cards have calendar backs but are easily spotted if you only have access to images of the fronts of the cards as they are not numbered. If you can help with any more information please get in touch via comment or e-mail.
The cards are not numbered but are numbered here for reference purpose only (it's easier to count them!).
