 I must admit I did not expect this... Topps are doing a pre-sale for a 2019/20 Match Attax Starter Pack. There's no Premier League logo, no players or club badges, which is not surprising as Topps lost the Premier League license to Panini, but Topps are promising that if you pay your £1 you will receive the Match Attax Starter Pack by 23 September, 2019.

    For the 1 pack they are charging £2.00 for shipping which increases if you order more than 1.

    Hi John,

    I didn't realize that. I'm amazed to see them advertising this collection, I thought we'd seen that last to their Premier League Match Attax collections.

    It's champions League. I noticed in the specs it says it. Another example of Topps horrid website!

    Alan, this is obviously for UEFA Champions League as when I placed my order, there was a line listing as Property UEFA Champions League. However, I noticed Topps UK have since removed this reference in the website.

      Hi Tiang,

      It's strange how they don't use the Champions League logo, even if it is a mock-up, and no reference to the Champions League in the title. Also, in the United Kingdom the Champions League Match Attax don't come out until January. I know they haven't got the Premier League Match Attax any more which would mean there's no reason to delay the UK release. It all seems a little strange.

    Hi Matt,

    I couldn't find any reference to the Champions League, even the file name just says "MA". I was wondering if it might be for the Championship instead, or Premier League players with air-brushed jerseys like they used to do for the World Cup.

    This will not be champions league as its to early to be released that is always released in February/March time. There was a reference to champs league but that has gone.
    If you think about the new match attax premier league was always released in September been like that for years also if think about this Panini have the licence but Topps own the words "Match Attax" it's a trademark so they will still produce a collection

    Hi,

    Match Attax Champions League comes out at the end of September everywhere except the UK. Topps UK delay the release by approximately 5 months. I presume they'll be releasing it earlier now that they've lost the Premier League license.

    If Topps do produce a Premier League MA collection it will be like MA 101 - horrible plain Photoshopped jerseys.

      On the front, bottom left hand corner. The number isn't very clear on some of the foil cards.

      I haven't been able to get a Starter Pack yet, perhaps the SS cards were created after the checklist in the album was prepared.

      Any one figured out the numbers for the UEFA/ Europa cards yet! Nothing matches up and the numbers in the pack given go up to over 500.....i can see the numbers on the cards on the bottom left but they do not match checklist???

    Just been to asda and they have 3 different books and card sets
    One is for the european championships
    One is for the 101 greatest players
    And the other is champions league and europa league
    So are they not bring out a prem league one at all?

      Panini are bringing out a Premier League collection this season. Topps lost the license, they're just doing the Champions League/Europa League collection which is currently in the shops.
