A promotion that has become a regular event in North America in recent years started in 2012 when Panini provided dealers with special Father's Day two-card promo packs to be used as incentives to buy other Panini products. The base set of 34 cards covers baseball, basketball, football (theirs), hockey and football (ours). This is not a complete checklist, I've only included details of the parts that include football cards.

D.C. Thomson / The Rover - Histories of Britain's Football Clubs (1953) (02)

1953-54
Histories of Britain's Football Clubs
D.C. Thomson / The Rover
Unknown number

A couple of years ago I published a partial list of this collection. JF Sporting Collectibles new June auction catalogue has 37 of these listed, with more to follow in the August auction.
Some numbers appear twice, and I first thought that the numbering system was just a little haphazard, but that is not the case. It may indicate a mixture of two different series or the possibility that the series also ran in one of The Rover's sister publications, or that some weeks different teams were available in the Scottish and English versions of the comic. The West Ham one is unnumbered and until it is dated, appears at the bottom of the list

1.  Aston Villa - Archie Hunter
2.  Queens Park - no player
3.  Arsenal - Herbert Chapman

IanSammel has provided scans of some of the cards from this collection. Although I have details of the set in my database I didn't have any information about any the cards until now.

IanSammel also points out that there are five different back designs amongst the cards shown here. The cards are unnumbered and don't carry a series title. We would be glad to hear from anyone who can supply further information on this rare set of cards.

Teasdale & Co. Ltd. - Footballers In Action (Colour)

1930s
Footballers In Action (Colour)
Teasdale & Co. Ltd.
50 cards ? (19 known)

I had an e-mail from Roger Pashby alerting me to that fact that he'd seen these cards at a Card Fair. It turns out that cigarette card dealer John Shaw has discovered a third set of football cards issued by Teasdale & Co. that have gone unrecorded since being issued in the early 1930's (or late 1920's). These cards are similar to the Gallaher's Cigarettes 'Footballers in Action' blue backed cards that were issued in 1928. They have plain backs and don't have 'Gallaher's Cigarettes' printed on the front. A few examples are shown here.
John has recently been featured on the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain website - John Shaw Launches New Cigarette Card Website and here's a link to the aforementioned website - http://www.cigarettecards.org
Previously known Teasdale issues can be seen here:

Teasdale & Co. Ltd. - TEA-100 / ZJ5-102-1 - Footballers
UPDATE (04-04-2020 15:09):  Roger Pashby has provided a scan of a new addition to his Huddersfield Town collection, the card listed at number 22 in the checklist. Two more cards (nos. 16 and 17) have also been moved into the List of known cards., having recently been available in Garry Daynes' eBay auctions. The three cards can be seen above, the 5th, 6th and 7th illustrations.
