22 medallions

I first came across these medallions through an offer in the F.K.S. album Soccer Stars 80 and I presumed they were linked to that sticker collection, but that is not the case.

Steve Hale has provided a scan of an advert from Shoot magazine dated 11 November, 1978, offering the collection for sale. Bronze medallions were priced at £1.99 each (£11.40 at today's prices), Silver medallions were offered for £17.50 each (£99.80 at today's prices). It was also possible to buy a complete set of the 22 bronze medallions for $38.75 and the price included a free presentation case.

He has also provided photos of two different versions of the offer that was included in the Soccer Stars 80 album, one printed in black and the other printed in green and black.

Steve has also provided photos of the presentation case and the display of medallions.
