Here's the scans of the Collection Guide. It used to be about 20 A4 pages, now it's just one sheet.
PL26-SPIN. Guide - Single A4 sheet
Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.
In a parallel universe these cards would be affordable.
ReplyDeleteFrom that list Topps should do away with the Rookie Cards, Insert Cards, Chrome Classics, Case Hits, Short Prints, Autos and True Gold Lions. Save all that cr*p for the hobby boxes that all the scalpers, streamers and breakers like so much. Then lower the packet price from £3.50 for 10 cards to £1.50 for 15 cards and sell them to kids so they can build up a full collection. Bring back the missing cards service too - a proper one not one that's only open for 12 hrs on a Wednesday evening in February on a secret website link, with a minimum order value of £25 even if you only need 1 card.
ReplyDeleteAnd release the cards in November when the players featured will have actually played for the clubs in question so you can use proper photos instead of made-up photoshop slop, and all those players transferred can be moved to their new clubs.
Oh - I forgot, I'm talking about the UK card collecting hobby of about 5 to 7 yrs ago before the Americans took over and ruined it. Anyone got a time machine ???
