1 postcard

Frank Howe Sugg was born in Ilkeston, in 1862. He was six foot tall who hit 16 centuries during his 17-year career at Yorkshire, Derbyshire and, Lancashire. He played in two test matches against Australia in 1888. He also played football, turning out for Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Burnley and Bolton Wanderers before ending up at Everton. Although he had other offers moving to Liverpool made perfect sense as he had recently established a sports equipment business in Whitechapel, Liverpool, with his brother Walter, who was also cricketer and also officiated at some football matches. He made a total of 10 appearances for the Toffees during his two seasons at the club.
By the time this postcard was produced Frank Sugg also had outlets in Sheffield, Cardiff and Leeds.
