I know it's not officially anything to do with Cardiff City but despite almost 10 years in the old Third Division South, the club still had plenty of supporters when World War Two came around. Stalag XVIIIA was operational from 1941 to 1945 and the P.O.W. camp had a football pitch in the middle of all the huts.
