DeleteQuite a few of the England team on the stickers are not actually playing in the tournament.
ReplyDeleteThat always happens with any World Cup or Euro tournament. The collection has to be prepared months before the squads are announced.
DeleteI am guessing Topps recieved a lot of complaints about the Euro sticker collection last year. This one is way more easier and affordable to collect. So far I am not getting shitloads of duplicats for certian players. No gold stickers either where some players are almost imossible to get hold of if you weren`t extremely lucky or buy them on ebay for hundred euros. Just look at the numbers for that collection on Laststicker. I am still missing Rodri and expect never to complete it. I hope the new trend is not because it is a Womens collection, and they will be back to normal habits for the next Mens Euros

DeleteI bought a starter pack and three multipacks yesterday. There were quite a few extra packets of stickers in the multipacks - so thanks Topps.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there are some issues with this collection. The album looks cheap and is pretty poor quality and the stickers are still ultimately inferior to panini stickers. There is still the rights issues with England, France, Germany and Italy - the stickers are the same crappy format as the men's Euros from last year with the wrong kit, goldfish bowl heads and no emblems. Yet again there are issues with the sticker borders in some cases when you can't really see them.
I'm actually not very impressed.
Also, you can only order 36 stickers to complete your collection (not that anyone ever does because their individual service is crap and they make so many errors) instead of 50. A further erosion of customer goodwill in Topps land.

ReplyDeleteThe album is really poor quality but this sticker collection is what they should be, pretty cheap and easy to complete. I got down to about 50 to go quite inexpensively and I have ordered the last few from ebay.
