John Levitt has provided information and scans about a new set of cards with some football content:
The November/December 2023 issue of Card World mention was made of Butterworth & Son issuing a set of cards called 30 Golden Years. Essentially the set reviews the entire output of Butterworth Publications with each card listing on the back the subjects of each set with the front carrying a sample image. It would be the comapny's final card set.The Golden Years set costs £30 included p&p. It includes 3 football cards as shown. It is an unusual set in that the cards are numbered 1-100 but has only 91 cards. Various cards indicate that other sizes of cards were issued for some sets as well as some books including a football one. I assume that the books were obtained thorough package redemption.
