Haas, Linz u. Reichenberg (Czechoslovakia) - (20801-03) Die Sieger der Olympiade Berlin 1936 (German version)

1936
(20801-03) Die Sieger der Olympiade Berlin 1936
Haas, Linz u. Reichenberg

128 cards (2 football)

There are only two football cards in this collection, the winners of the Final (Italy) and the winners of the Bronze Medal game (Netherlands). There's no room for the losing finalists (Austria). In my notes, I have the football teams numbered 58 and 59 and I still have poor images of an album page that seems to confirm those card numbers, but as you can see, the Italian team shown here is card number 68. There might be two different versions of this collection. I think more research needs to be undertaken.

    1. Hi Marcus,
Thank you very much for the amazing checklist. As it's from the Czech version I will add a new post for this collection. I did mention there might be two versions as I'd found a couple of cards that were exactly the same but with different numbers. I thought one might have been released after the other, I didn't think one would be German and the other Czech. I will also change the country from Germany to Czechoslovakia.
Is there a way of telling the difference between the Czech versions of the cards and the German ones? Also, I have the album cover shown, which I think is the German version. I have another picture of an album cover where the title is in a similar sort of 'old German' typeface but the year is in a large bold modern typeface. Could this be the Czech version?
Thanks again for all your help.
      Kind regards,
      Alan
