Southampton, then in the Southern League, reached the F.A. Cup Final in 1899-1900 season, losing by 4 goals to nil against Bury at Crystal Palace. I've dated these photos as they were found in a Southampton scrapbook covering the 1890's but it was a very successful period for the club, reaching two F.A. Cup Finals and winning the Southern League title on six occassions between 1896-97 and 1903-04, so it's possible the photos could come from any time during that period.
The player in the England kit is goalkeeper Jack Robinson, who played for Southampton from 1898-99 to 1902-03 and the man next to him, in the centre of the collage, is the club trainer Bill Dawson. Identifying the other players has proved too difficult. Thanks to Martin Bennett for his help.
