There are no football cards in this collection of sporting ladies but I couldn't resist including the set here. The backs of the cards include information on the brands these cards were packed with - Sweet Lavender, Old Gold, Black and Tan and Hard Tack Tobaccos. Redeemed cards were returned to the collector as some backs can be found with 'THIS OFFER WITHDRAWN' stamped on reverse in purple ink. It also seems that the cards were produced over a long period as it seems the offer on the reverse had expired, some cards were overprinted with thick lines, making the offer illegible. There is no checklist on the reverse but here is a list of the cards as recorded on the The Metropolitan Museum of Art website:
