The twelfth card is Paolo Maldini. Do you wonder why Topps delayed the release of the Paolo Maldini Lost Rookie card? They used images from 1985-86 but he didn't make his debut in the European Cup until 1988-89..... he played all 6 games in the UEFA Cup in 1985-86, beating AJ Auxerre and Lokomotiv Leipzig before losing to Belgium's SV Zulte-Waregem. He didn't play in the European Cup until 1988-89 season when AC Milan won the competition, beating Romania's Steaua București in the Final at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.
