Pat has provided a link to eBay where this card was on sale until a few days ago, it's already been snapped up by an eager collector. Dick Burgess features in the original checklist as a Queens Park Rangers. He had made a name for himself playing for Aberdare Athletic in the old Division Three South. He joined Queens Park Rangers for the 1925-26 season and it's as a Q.P.R. player that he is listed in the checklist. This card sees him as a Dartford player, which I find strange. I've always listed this set as being issued between 1925 and 1927, but Burgess joined Dartford for the 1928-29 season. Not only that, he left Q.P.R. in 1927 and spent 1927-28 with Sittingbourne. So, could there be a Sittingbourne card out there waiting to be discovered!
