Issued from the early 1960's, The Collectors' Club often advertised in Charles Buchan's Football Monthly. I've shown a few examples of the cards plus both sides of a leaflet and the cover of the special album that was produced, the pages each had four corner slots to hold the cards in place. The cards were either portrait (P) or action (A) shots as well as some team photos (T). The first batch of cards are numbered as per the leaflet shown above, though some numbers are missing from the leaflet. The rest of the players are listed in alphabetical order (I've cheated and sorted them by first name rather than surname). Some cards are listed twice as I believe they share the same photo but each has a different back design. The first cards were all black & white but they soon started to provide colour photos.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who can provide additional information about this collection.

I have quite a few Manchester United ones in my collection, but never seen any references to them before.
Given your information, it appears that there must have been a number of Series.... or postcards were just issued in different seasons. For many of the listed cards the photos are from 1962/63 as United only wore white socks up to that season. I also have a postcard from that series with the United team photo saying 1962/63. This is probably card number #51.
So I would guess they started being issued in 1963/64... which ties in with Graham Moore being featured as he was only a United player during that season. George Best only made his debut in 1963/64 so his card must have been a later issue.
Players like John Aston (1965/66), Alex Stepney (1966/67), Jimmy Ryan (1966/67), Brian Kidd (1967/68) means that these cards had to be issued over several seasons. Additionally, Phil Chisnall was sold to Liverpool when Moore arrived, so 1963/64 seems to be the most logical year these were first issued.  
I also have a card with Shay Brennan in a pre-1963 jersey (similar to one of the Quixall ones) so I'm guessing he could be one of the missing numbers. Tony Dunne is also potentially a missing number as his card shows a young Dunne in the 1962/63 strip. He coulld of course, have been missed from the first season/series and added later.
The later cards must be hard to get as many of them I have never seen. Also I have never seen the Duncan Edwards card (#72) nor any of the colour cards. It seems apart from #8 Connelly, #72 Edwards and #76 Moore I have a complete collection of United players from the first Series (or 1963/64 season)
