Bob Thomas has been trawling through back copies of The Daily Citizen at the British Newspaper Archives and has provided many photocopies to help compile a list of the various series of cards that were issued from January through to March 1914.
"The Daily Citizen" is making an exceptional offer to followers of football.
Everyone who buys the paper for six days in succession will be given the opportunity of obtaining six splendid portrait groups of famous football teams. All it is necessary to do is to cut out the special coupon from SIX CONSECUTIVE ISSUES of the paper and enclose these with three penny stamps to the Circulation Manager, "The Daily Citizen," 92, Fleet-street, London, E.C. Pin the coupons and stamps to a sheet of paper on which your name and address are clearly written, and mark the left-hand top corner of the envelope, "Football Offer - Series I."
"The Daily Citizen" picture gallery of Modern Football forms a collection of photographs of famous teams which every lover of the game has only to see to wish to possess. Each photograph is printed on fine art paper, and measures 8in. by 10in. They are equally suitable for framing on placing in an album.

Reading and Gillingham are both listed twice, Series 5 and 6 for Reading and Series 7 and 8 for Gillingham. I presume that the two teams not listed - Norwich City and Peterborough City - were issued in place of the Reading and Gillingham teams at some point.
