The Star (originally published as Star and Evening Advertiser) was the first ever daily evening newspaper in the world. It's first issue was in May 1788 and lasted over 170 years before ceasing publication in 1960. These prints, intended to be framed, measure 375mm x 255mm and Chris Lee has provided a scan of the Reading one which he has just added to his collection, with the players being identified with their signatures. Chris has an amazing website covering just about everything relating to The Biscuitmen.
