(BAR-370/BAR-72-13) Famous Footballers A13
Barratt & Co.
50 cards

Roger Long has provided scans of the two different Eddie Thomas cards.
These two cards have been acknowledged by the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain as variations.
Roger Long is looking to purchase the card on the right. Please contact me if you have this card available for sale or trade.
UPDATE (30-06-2021 12:19):  Roger has provided scans of a better quality card shown on the right.
UPDATE (08-09-2025 14:49):  Andrew Blount has now provided information that the player shown is not Eddie Thomas but Scunthorpe United's Barrie Thomas. Eddie Thomas is the player shown on card number 35, which can be seen here - Barratt & Co. - Famous Footballers A13 (03) - Variation - Eddie Thomas / Barrie Thomas.
UPDATE (08-09-2025 16:37):  When I originally compiled this post I wondered about the two different kits. I knew Scunthorpe United played in white with blue trim in the 1960's. There's no mention of him being transferred, though he did move to Barnsley in 1966. After a little research I discovered that Scunthorpe United played in claret and blue until promotion to Division Two in 1959. I presume the artist who painted the player hadn't realised the club had changed colours some years before. Because of this I presume the claret and blue kit was issued first, quickly followed by the amended white with blue trim kit.
