Is there a reason that they've not had a Villa card yet this season? It's almost half way through, we're up to number 87 and they (especially Rogers) have scored some cracking goals! There are about 40 Haalands and 25 Liverpool and Chelsea cards but the closest they've come to a Villa card is the Fernandes at West Ham (number 83) which was against Villa!
ReplyDeleteI think Topps is very blinkered. Villa are third and scoring goals for fun, how they haven't featured on a NOW card is really hard to figure. I'm sure they can't keep ignoring them.
DeleteI came back here to comment, rather than on the next post as it's more of a conversation! Villa and Wolves were both missing but there's a Wolves card in the next lot so now it's only the 3rd placed (by 8 points), Europa League and FA Cup competing Aston Villa who are still missing! This has GOT to be more than just blinkered! It's either a strange licensing issue OR the person who picks the cards is a Birmingham City fan! I might be able to understand if all our goals came from set pieces and long throws (Arsenal) but we score from all over the place and pretty much deserve our third place!
DeleteTotally agree with you Dan, Villa are a joy to watch this season. They've got some NOW Europa League cards so I don't suppose it's a licensing issue. It's got to be the guy that selects the cards.
