It might be common knowledge amongst seasoned collectors but I was never aware that the red-backed and blue-backed versions of the Champions of Sport cards were two different series. This is the checklist for the red-backed series, compiled from the names on the fronts of the cards, though I have been unable to check cards 3 and 29 so far. I only have a scan of the front of the Tom Robinson card so I've included some examples of the backs of other types, of which there are 13 in total but I have no idea if all cards can be found with all the different back designs.

G.C. McWattie (George Chappell McWattie) was a Scottish goalkeeper who played for Arbroath, Hibernian, Queen's Park and Heart of Midlothian, and played twice for both Scotland and the Scottish League XI.

Tom Robinson was a footballer with Cowlairs, Aston Villa, Queen's Park and St Bernard's, who won four caps for Scotland, but by this time he was a referee and later became president of the Scottish Football League.
