Gutschein (West Germany) - Fußball

1959-60
Fußball
Gutschein
West Germany
? cards

I've been asked for information on this card but I am unable to help. The German word 'gutschein' printed on the back translates to 'coupon' or 'voucher' so that's not much help, but it's the only way to identify this card at the moment. If you can provide any further information please get in touch. I'm not sure if it was issued in 1958, the most recent information in the biography is the World Cup win in 1958, which is the only reason I've dated to that year.
UPDATE (19-12-2021 09:58):  Bob Lapides has provided images of some additional cards from this series including two versions of the Pele that have been redeemed, but we are no closer to finding out which company issued these cards.

  1. Hi Alan, this is Bob in New York. I sent an email a few days ago with more information about the set. Just want to say hello and see if you received it? Thanks.

    1. Hi Bob,

Thanks for your comment. I am sorry I haven't replied to your e-mails. I'm in poor health and it's the e-mails that suffer, sometimes I don't access them for a few days at a time and then I've got a large backlog.

If I don't do anything else today I'll make sure I reply to them.

      Kind regards, Alan

    1. At some point they had been stuck in an album, lots of damage and paper residue on the backs.

    1. Hi Kevin,

The fronts are the same, the second and third backs show cards that have been redeemed.

    1. Not sure, but I think they are cards rather than paper.
